Rio Vista Science Expo
Here's how to participate in this year's EXPO:
1. Choose a project category (Scientific Inquiry, Engineering, or Science Exploration)
2. Register above online by February 17, 2017.
3. Bring completed project/exhibit to school on the afternoon of Tuesday, February 21, 2017 after school by 4:30 p.m. (or at an earlier date if directed by your teacher).
Scientific Inquiry-
These projects are presented in the traditional question/experiment/result format. Projects begin with a measurable question, which might be based on an observation made, or a particular topic of interest. Questions need to be something that can be measured, and will typically start with words such as what, when, where, how, or why. Click Here for Science Inquiry Guidelines
*These projects will be judged and may be eligible to compete at Apple Valley Unified's District Science Fair.
Engineering-
Exhibits feature a satisfactory solution to a need, such as improving an existing situation or eliminating a problem. Click here for Engineering Guidelines

Judging and Awards-
The goal of our Science EXPO is to encourage scientific exploration and discovery, and promote a deep lifelong passion for science. Each participant in the Scientific Inquiry and Engineering categories will have an opportunity to briefly present their project to a judge, and all participants at the EXPO will receive recognition.
